Biography

B.A., Brooklyn College, City University of New York; LL.B., Yale. Professor Taylor is in private practice, where he focuses both his practical skills and his teaching and writing on the field of civil rights and education. He founded the Center for National Policy Review and is vice chairman with the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights. He served for six years on the Board of Testing and Assessment of the National Academy of Sciences. Professor Taylor is also the Chair of the Citizens' Commission on Civil Rights, and a member of the Board of Poverty and Race Research Action Council. An adjunct professor at the Law Center since 1986, Professor Taylor also taught civil rights law and operated a clinical program at Catholic University Law School for fifteen years. He was a visiting professor of law at Stanford Law School in 1996-97. Professor Taylor is a member of the D.C. and New York Bars.
