Biography

B.S., Northwestern; J.D., Georgetown. Professor Brightbill is a Partner in Wiley Rein LLP’s International Trade practice. He regularly represents clients on all aspects of international trade law and policy, including import trade remedies, trade negotiations, export controls, and international electronic commerce issues. In handling such issues, Professor Brightbill has presented oral arguments at the Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the Court of International Trade, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Prior to joining Wiley Rein, he served as counsel to the Committee on Small Business in the U.S. House of Representatives. Professor Brightbill is a frequently published writer and speaker on the topics of international trade and international electronic commerce. He is also a member of the faculty of Georgetown's Academy of WTO Law and Policy.
