Biography

1st State Law Exam, M.A., University of Augsburg ; 2nd State Law Exam, OLG München ; LL.M., College of Europe ; Ph.D., University of London/King’s College. Alexander Türk is a Senior Lecturer in Law at King’s College London. He previously worked at the School of Law as a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Lektor (1996-2000) and Lecturer in Law (2000-2006). He was formerly a Lecturer at the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht, Netherlands, (1995-96). He is Director of the LL.M. Program at King’s College London.

Professor Türk’s principal research interests are in the field of European Union Law, and in particular its constitutional and administrative law. His publications include The Concept of Legislation in European Community Law (Kluwer, 2006), and EU Administrative Governance (edited together with Prof. Dr. H. Hofmann) (Elgar Publishing, 2006). He has just completed a monograph on Judicial Review in EU Law (Elgar Publishing, forthcoming, March 2009).
