The office hires both people directly out of law school and those with experience.
You cannot be hired into an attorney position without having passed the bar, but the application for a coded position can be submitted while waiting for results.
Generally, people are hired into uncoded or extra help positions (these are positions without benefits) to fill behind someone who is on a leave of absence.
The county has a formal hiring process that involves oral board interviews and a list.
The person must be high on the list to be placed in a coded position (position with benefits).
Documents: Students should send a cover letter, resume and writing sample.
Dates: There is no best time for attorney applications.
