It’s been a great “Week One,” where first-year students have dived right into legal and policy debates in fast-paced simulations. Along the way, Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg made a surprise visit to discuss constitutional theory with students in the “The Role of Dissenting Opinions” course. Students in the “World Heath Assembly Simulation” got a chance to negotiate an international agreement on global health and climate change with input from Ambassador Jimmy Kolker, the chief health diplomat at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and former WHO legal counsel and Georgetown Adjunct Professor Gian Luca Burci.
