Professor Gayer is Vice President and Deputy General Counsel – General Corporate at Freddie Mac in McLean, Virginia. Professor Gayer manages a team of attorneys who specialize in general corporate legal matters, including complex commercial contracts, information technology initiatives, intellectual property, privacy, data security, real estate and other corporate legal matters. Professor Gayer is a member of the Pro Bono Committee and the Rewards and Recognition Committee of the Freddie Mac Legal Division.
Professor Gayer also serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Fairfax Court Appointed Special Advocates, a nonprofit whose mission is to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Fairfax County Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court.
Prior to joining Freddie Mac, Professor Gayer was an associate at Shaw Pittman Potts & Trowbridge (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman) where she specialized in real estate transactions.
When she isn’t working, Professor Gayer may be volunteering in various capacities; biking; reading junk novels; or attempting to interfere in the lives of her three young-adult children.
