Jean Kalicki

B.A.,summa cum laude, J.D.,magna cum laude, Harvard. Professor Kalicki is a Partner in Arnold & Porter LLP's litigation practice, where she specializes in international arbitration and transnational litigation. She has particular expertise in investment treaty arbitration ahd has represented both sovereign governments and investors in disputes before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). In commercial arbitration, she has represented private companies on five continents, as well as the United Nations, in disputes before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and its International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), and ad hoc tribunals under the UNCITRAL Rules. She serves as arbitrator for numerous institutions, and is a frequent speaker and author on international arbitration topics.

Professor Kalicki has been named one of the Top 30 Women in Arbitration worldwide by Global Arbitration Review, and selected as a leader in the arbitration field by Chambers USA, Legal 500, Euromoney, Best Lawyers in America, and the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers.  She is a member of the Board of Directors of the AAA and of the ICC Commission on Arbitration, the Co-Chair of the D.C. Bar's International Dispute Resolution Committee, and the Chair of the U.S. Council for International Business' Arbitration Subcommittee for Washington, D.C.
