Maryam Khosharay is an Attorney Advisor at the United States Agency for International Development. Her work focuses on DCA partial credit guarantees, project financing, joint ventures and other strategic alliances in order to promote social and economic development in emerging markets. Maryam specializes in energy projects in developing countries with a focus on the renewable energy industry. Experience includes structuring debt and equity financing of projects, M&A transactions, and the preparation and negotiation of project related documents. Prior to joining USAID in 2013, Maryam practiced law at Clifford Chance and Haynes and Boone as a corporate and finance attorney. Maryam has studied, worked and lived in Boston, New York, London and Washington, D.C. Maryam is actively involved in the American Bar Association and serves as a Committee Director on the Project Finance Committee. She has been a member of the Georgetown Law adjunct faculty since 2015.
