He also practices in the firm's Government Relations, Government Contracts, and Corporate Law groups. Professor Latham represents a wide range of clients – Fortune 200 CEOs, other major corporations, minority businesses, and local governments – in such legal matters as crisis management and diversity representation, discrimination litigation, mergers and acquisitions, financial transactions, Federal legislative and regulatory matters, and government procurement. He serves as Chair, Deloitte & Touche Diversity Advisory Board; General Counsel, National Coalition of Minority Businesses (NCMB); and on the boards of the Washington Metropolitan Airports Authority, Georgetown University Law Center, and a NASDAQ wireless messaging technology company. He is a monthly columnist for the Diversity Journal and a frequent contributor to the MBE magazine. Mr. Latham previously served as Assistant General Counsel, White House Office of Management and Budget during the Ford Administration; as General Deputy Assistant Secretary of HUD during the Carter Administration; and as diversity advisor to President William Jefferson Clinton. Professor Latham earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Howard University, a J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center, and an Executive Management Certificate from the Amos Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College.
