B.S., Indiana University; J.D., LL.M. (Taxation), Georgetown; CPA and CFF. Professor Mendelson is a consultant on regulatory compliance, ethics, risk management, and Federal income tax matters. He was a Managing Director of Richard C. Breeden & Co. in Washington, D.C. He served as a senior ethics and regulatory compliance leader as a national partner in both Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He also served in the Corporation Tax Branch of the IRS National Office. Professor Mendelson recently chaired the MACPA Professional Ethics Committee and is past chairman of the AICPA Tax Practice Responsibilities Committee and the ABA Section of Taxation Special Income Tax Problems Committee. He is a column editor of The Journal of Taxation. He has twice received The Tax Adviser Magazine Best Article Award for articles he co-authored on the CPA-client confidentiality privilege and financial status auditing by the IRS. He is certified by the AICPA in Financial Forensics.
