Professor Sabahi is a Partner at Dentons, an international law firm. She focuses her practice on the representation of international oil and gas companies in connection with their projects in Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and South America. Professor Sabahi has worked on projects involving oil and gas assets in more than 45 host countries, and advised on government petroleum contracts (such as production sharing contracts), joint operating agreements, sale and purchase agreements, farmout agreements, joint venture agreements, study and bid agreements and other types of agreements involved in energy projects. Prior to joining Dentons, Professor Sabahi practiced at Baker & McKenzie in Washington, DC and at Coudert Brothers in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Professor Sabahi is a Program Director for International Oil and Gas Development Program at the International Law Institute (ILI). She also serves as a Liaison for the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) and its YN group in Washington, DC. Professor Sabahi also currently serves as a Co-Chair of the International Investment and Development Committee and a Vice-Chair of International Energy and Natural Resources Committee, American Bar Association, Section of International Law (ABA SIL).
