Professor Sabahi is a Partner at SNR Denton, an international law firm. She focuses her practice on the representation of state-owned entities and international companies in connection with energy sector transactions in the Middle East, Central Asia and Russia, Africa and Latin America. Prior to joining SNR Denton, Professor Sabahi practiced at Baker & McKenzie in Washington, DC and at Coudert Brothers in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Professor Sabahi has worked on a number of pro bono human rights matters undertaken by the firms, and served as a member of the client service team for the firms’ selected pro bono clients.
Prior to joining the law firm practice, Professor Sabahi worked in a legal support center in Uzbekistan, where she conducted educational seminars on women’s reproductive rights, and worked on domestic violence issues. During her LLM program, she completed an internship at Human Rights Watch, where she primarily assisted with developing country-specific advocacy strategies on women's human rights issues.
Professor Sabahi is a course advisor and lecturer at the International Law Institute (ILI). She also serves as a Vice-Chair of the International Investment and Development Committee, Section of International Law of the American Bar Association (ABA).
