Professor Sánchez is a common and civil law trained lawyer with more than a decade of experience on international law and Latin American legal matters.  She focuses her practices on international arbitration, foreign investment, and global anticorruption matters. In her international arbitration work, Professor Sánchez has particular experience in investor-state arbitration, and has advised and represented both states and investors under most of the major institutional rules, in cases arising under bilateral investment treaties, and free trade agreements, including CAFTA-DR. In her global anti-corruption work, Professor. Sánchez counsels multinational companies on internal investigations and compliance matters, including the design, implementation, assessment of anti-corruption compliance program.

Professor Sánchez has experience in a variety of cultural settings, and is fully bilingual in Spanish and English, with a basic knowledge of Portuguese. She has represented clients in a wide range of disputes arising out of transactions in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, relating to a diversity of industries and economic sectors, including energy, construction, mining, taxation, and government concessions. She has been repeatedly recognized as a leading practitioner for the United States and Colombia by Chambers Global, and named a “Top Lawyer Under 40” by the Hispanic National Bar Association.
