Professor Schoettler is an Assistant General Counsel of USEC Inc. He also is a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and for 20 years served in his Reserve capacity in the U.S. Army Office of the Judge Advocate General, where, among other activities, he contributed to the forthcoming DoD Law of War Manual. He currently is assigned to the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office. Professor Schoettler is the co-author of The War on Terror and the Laws of War: A Military Perspective published by Oxford University Press (2009) and The Law of Armed Conflict: An Operational Approachpublished by Wolters Kluwer (2012).
