Jessica Wherry teaches legal research and writing courses to first-year and upper-level students. Prior to joining Georgetown's faculty, Professor Wherry was associate professor of legal research and writing and associate director of the legal research and writing program at George Washington University Law School. Previously, she served as assistant counsel in the U.S. Department of the Navy's Office of the General Counsel and as a cryptologic technician in the U.S. Navy. She earned an undergraduate degree from Lawrence University, a master of social science from Syracuse University, and a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School. Professor Wherry's scholarly interests include legal research and writing, veterans law, and federal procurement law and policy. She does pro bono work through the Homeless Persons Representation Project, assisting veterans with disability compensation claims and discharge upgrades.
