Thomas Windom is an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland. He investigates and prosecutes cases involving fraud, narcotics, public corruption, and national security. Prior to becoming a prosecutor, Professor Windom worked for six years at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C., focusing on criminal and civil cases, including the successful 2255 motion for a new sentencing hearing in a federal death penalty case.
Professor Windom graduated from Harvard College, cum laude. After attending the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif, Professor Windom clerked for the Honorable Edith Brown Clement of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
