Faculty Support distributes materials via our materials distribution website. Students may order a bound printed copy or download a PDF file. If you submit an original electronic copy, students will be able to search the materials. Materials should arrive in our office 3-4 weeks before classes begin. The earlier material is received the better. Faculty are asked to complete a Request for Course Material Distribution sheet. Further questions about course material production can be directed to Sylvia Johnson (x9280) or Ronnie Rease (x9280) in the Photocopy Services Center. The deadlines for submission of Spring 2007 course materials are the following: 250 or more pages are due by Monday, November 19, 2007; All materials under 250 pages are due no later than Friday, December 7, 2007. Prior to submitting your course material documents for photocopying, please review the Course Material Preparation form and follow these guidelines. Each faculty member is responsible for all copyright Permissions. For further information, please go to Editorial Services and Copyright Permission. We also provide document conversion services. For example, if faculty need documents converted to PDF format to upload to their Courseware site, the Office of Faculty Support has the resources to do this. Please fill out a Request for Document Conversion Format sheet. We can also convert hard copy documents into text files. For assistance, contact Cathy Strain at x9285. Faculty Course Evaluations are collected over a two-week period at the end of the semester. Faculty receive a memorandum from the Associate Dean that announces the date on which the evaluations are scheduled for each class. Time must be set aside at the beginning of class to complete the survey. Results are distributed to each faculty member after grades are submitted.
The Office of Faculty Support and Campus Services has seating charts for each Law Center classroom. Faculty members who would like a copy of a seating chart should request it from Ronnie Rease (x9280) or ask their faculty assistant. Seating charts for all classrooms can be found here. All charts are in PDF Format.
Judicial Clerkship Letters of Recommendation The Office of Faculty Support and Campus Services ensures that letters of recommendation submitted by full time faculty members are correctly addressed, printed, signed, and mailed by the appropriate clerkship deadline. Faculty members with specific questions concerning clerkship recommendations should contact Anna Selden (x9405). Other recommenders are responsible for addressing and mailing their own letters. Students should follow the instructions listed in the current Judicial Clerkship Application Guide, available at the Office of Career Services' clerkship website. Georgetown is also now using the OSCAR (Online System for Clerkship Application and Review) system for participating judges.
