More on Federal Work-Study ruler

Georgetown University Law Center participates in the federally funded Federal Work-Study program (FWS). Through FWS, the wages for eligible students are subsidized by the government when working for a participating employer. Because the funds are given to students bi-weekly for hours worked, eligible students who participate in the FWS program typically use those funds to help cover day-to-day living expenses.

A student may request a FWS allocation to be included in his or her award. Awards are determined using demonstrated need as determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application. The total of all all other aid plus work-study cannot exceed the costs of attendance.
