Computers ruler

Almost all students either bring or purchase laptop computers while they are doing their LL.M.  Georgetown Law's Information Systems Technology (IST) Department has prepared useful information that may assist you in planning computer use.

During Foundations, students should be focused on listening and participating in class to adjust to the U.S. classroom experience and the Socratic method, so we recommend that you not use your laptop during the first week.  As the program progresses, some students prefer to bring their computers to class to take notes, as they will do in their LL.M. classes during the academic year.
