Sept. 25, 2009: States in the Lead, a daylong workshop co-sponsored by the Georgetown Climate Center and UCLA's Emmett Center on Climate Change and the Environment. The workshop explored innovative approaches that states and cities have taken to curb emissions and energy use in transportation and other sectors, and the implications for emerging federal policy. Gina McCarthy, Assistant Administrator, US EPA Office of Air and Radiation, served as keynote speaker. (Read the agenda).

June 24-25, 2009: Innovative Approaches to Climate Change Policy:
Workshop on State-Federal Interactions. This event brought together state, regional and federal policymakers, and marked the first meeting of the three regional greenhouse gas reduction groups (RGGI, WCI, Midwest Accord). Keynote speakers included EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle.

Feb. 23, 3009: Launch of the Georgetown State-Federal Climate Resource Center, with addresses by Govs. Kathleen Sebelius and Chris Gregoire; EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and CEQ Chair Nancy Sutley.
