Past: Sept. 25, 2009: States in the Lead, a daylong workshop co-sponsored by the Georgetown Climate Center and UCLA's Emmett Center on Climate Change and the Environment. The workshop explored innovative approaches that states and cities have taken to curb emissions and energy use in transportation and other sectors, and the implications for emerging federal policy. Gina McCarthy, Assistant Administrator, US EPA Office of Air and Radiation, served as keynote speaker. (Read the agenda).
