Class Associates directly support students at Georgetown Law by providing essential current-use scholarship assistance to a particular Class. With a three-year commitment of $1,000 per year, Class Associates ensure that talented students with financial constraints have the resources they need from their first days as 1Ls through graduation at the end of their legal studies.
The Class Associates Program is a companion initiative to the Class Partners Program. The Class Associates Program offers recent graduates and alumni working in government or public interest the opportunity to directly affect the lives of today’s students. Similarly, the Class Partners Program is geared toward alumni in private practice and business, who earned their degrees more than 10 years ago and make a three-year commitment of $5,000 per year.
We invite you to consider partnering with the Class of 2010 as you invest, with the Law Center, in educating the next generation of Georgetown lawyers.
Why are Class Associates important?
Each fall, some of the country's brightest students begin their legal studies at Georgetown University Law Center. They are drawn to Georgetown Law because of its academic reputation, outstanding faculty and commitment to service.
For many students, the decision to attend Georgetown is heavily influenced by the Law Center's ability to provide a competitive financial aid package. It is crucial that additional current-use resources are found to meet the growing demand for financial aid as Georgetown remains committed to its "need- blind" admissions policy. Class Associates help the Law Center achieve this goal by providing current-use scholarship assistance to an incoming class of Georgetown students and supporting those students through their years at Georgetown Law.
What are the benefits of becoming a Class Associate?
The Class Associates Program enables you to make a direct and substantial impact in the lives of today's Georgetown Law students. In appreciation and recognition of your support for the Class Associates Program, you will receive:
Honorary membership in the entering J.D. class
An invitation to the Law Center’s annual scholarship lunch
An invitation to the class of 2010 graduation
