TIP is a 100% employer pre-screened program. Employers submit a job description and request resumes and other application materials (cover letter, J.D. and LL.M. transcripts) in the online system. These requirements are then communicated directly to students, who will then be aware of the employer’s hiring criteria when deciding whether or not to bid for an interview. Employers must provide Georgetown Law with candidate and alternate selections in the online system by Monday, February 13, 2012.

The candidate pool will include:

• Full-time and part-time candidates for the LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown Law and NYU, including both U.S.- and foreign-trained lawyers.
• Graduates of the LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown Law and NYU who are now in their final year as law clerks for Judges of the U.S. Tax Court (clerkships that are terminating between December 2011 and August 2012).
• Georgetown Law and NYU students enrolled in the J.D./LL.M. joint degree program in Taxation. Note: Georgetown Law joint degree students must have applied to the LL.M. portion of the program as of October 15, 2011 to be eligible to participate in TIP.
• Georgetown Law students enrolled for the Certificate in Employee Benefits, Certificate in State and Local Taxation and the Certificate in Estate Planning programs.
