The Sidley - IIEL WTO Moot Court Competition has had enormous success and growth since its launch in 2003.  The Competition organizers, Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP and the Institute of International Economic Law at Georgetown University Law Center, have received requests from universities in the United States and abroad to be invited to participate in future competitions. In the light of the resource burden involved in administering the current competition, or in expanding it, the organizers have decided not to hold a competition in 2006.  Other structures may be considered later, but for 2006 interested teams are encouraged to participate in other existing WTO moot court competitions, and to continue their scholarship in international economic law.
