The Immigration and Nationality Act 265(a) requires aliens (statutory term for individuals in the United States who are not U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals) to report their address change within ten (10) days of moving by notifying their school (if F-1) or visa sponsor (if J-1). Current law states that willful failure to report an address change is a criminal offense. In order to report a change of address: All current students may use the change of address form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar within ten (10) days of moving. In order to comply with regulations to report addresses changes, we also ask that you follow the additional directions below: F-1 Students Please make a note on the change of address form that you are an F-1 student by marking "F-1 STUDENT" below the space for your signature. J-1 Students Notify your J-1 sponsor within (10) days of moving. Please also notify the Georgetown Office of the Registrar so that our records are correct. Students with other visa types (e.g. L, R, G visas) Report your new address to USCIS using form AR-11 within ten (10) days of moving. This form is mailed to the address on the bottom of the form, the USCIS data processing center in London, Kentucky. Please also notify the Georgetown Law Center Office of the Registrar so that our records are correct. Students subject to Special Registration (all visa types) Report your new address to USCIS using form AR-11SR within ten (10) days of moving.
