YOUR NET ID
  • The key to electronic communications at the Law Center is your Georgetown University Network (Net) ID.
  • To determine what your Net ID is, open your Internet Browser and navigate to http://www.georgetown.edu/home/contact.html. Type your name in the Search field and click the Search button. A Directory page containing the Net IDs that match your search criteria will appear. Locate your name and your Net ID.
  • If you cannot find your Net ID, please contact Melvinia Towns at 202-662-9050 or townsm@law.georgetown.edu.
ACCESSING AND USING THE LAW CENTER NETWORK

Each time you power on your Law Center computer, you will need to login to the Law Center's network. To do this, you will need to create a Law Center password. 4. Type your default Law Center password in the Password field. (Your default Law Center password is the word password.)
    5. Click on the OK button.
    6. A dialog stating that you must change your password will appear.
    7. Click on the OK button.
    8. A Change Password dialog will appear.
    9. Enter your new password in the New Password field. (The IST Department recommends that you make your Law Center password the same as your Access+ password.)
    10. Type the same password in the Confirm New Password field.
    11. Click on the OK button.
    12. A dialog stating that your password has been changed will appear.
    13. Click on the OK button.
