YOUR NET ID
- The key to electronic communications at the Law Center is
your Georgetown University Network (Net) ID.
- To determine what your Net ID is, open your Internet Browser
and navigate to http://www.georgetown.edu/home/contact.html.
Type your name in the Search field and
click the Search button. A Directory
page containing the Net IDs that match your search criteria
will appear. Locate your name and your Net ID.

| ACCESSING AND USING
THE LAW CENTER NETWORK Each time you power on your
Law Center computer, you will need to login to the Law Center's
network. To do this, you will need to create a Law Center password.
This one password will work for all Law Center applications:
your computer login, LawMail and all Law Center restricted websites.
To create your Law Center password, please follow the instructions
listed below.
- Power on your Law Center computer.
- A Microsoft Windows login screen will
appear.
- Type your Net ID into the User Name field.
- Type your default Law Center password in the Password
field. (Your default Law Center password is the word password.)
- Click on the OK button.
- A dialog stating that you must change your password will
appear.
- Click on the OK button.
- A Change Password dialog will appear.
- Enter your new password in the New Password field. (The
IST Department recommends that you make your Law Center
password the same as your Access+ password.)
- Type the same password in the Confirm New Password
field.
- Click on the OK button.
- A dialog stating that your password has been changed will
appear.
- Click on the OK button.
- The login verification process will begin, which usually
takes one minute.
- When the login verification process is complete, your
computer desktop will appear.
- You are now ready to use your Law Center computer and
access the Law Center network.

Employee Access+ is a secure website that that lets Georgetown
University employees access their employment and benefits information
online. To log into Employee Access+, please contact Barry Wileman

TRAINING AND SUPPORT
- If you have further questions, please visit the Faculty

This page provides both technical information and technical
assistance.
- The IST Helpdesk is the single point of contact where you
can go for assistance with any computer problem. If the person
who answers the call cannot resolve the problem, he or she
will know the person who can. You can contact the Helpdesk
at 202-662-9284 or helpdesk@law.georgetown.edu.
- Training is available for any of the available computer
applications used at the Law Center. Public training sessions
are announced via email. You can also contact Dianne
Ferro, Assistant Director of Training, for one-on-one sessions
at 202-662-9023 or dhf2@law.georgetown.edu.
- Computer-training classes are also available at Main Campus.
