Adding Shapes With Text to a
Slide

- Insert a new slide into your presentation.
- Using the Task Pane, select the Title Only or Blank
slide layout.
- Type the title in the Click To Add Title area.
- Click once in the blank portion of the slide.
- Click on the AutoShapes button in the Drawing
Toolbar.

- Select the desired shape, and using your mouse, draw it on the slide.
- Right-click on the shape.
- A pop-up menu will appear.
- Choose the option Add Text.
- Start typing.
- The text will appear within the shape.
- You can change the background and color of the shape by using the icons
in the Drawing Toolbar.
Click HERE to return to the Table of Contents.
Note: If the Drawing Toolbar is not on
your screen, click on the word View in the Menu Bar. Select the
option Toolbars. A sub-menu will appear. Click on the Drawing
option. The Drawing Toolbar will appear on the bottom of your screen.
