1. Close all open applications and windows.
2. Double-click on the downloaded Symantec (Norton) Antivirus file icon, located on your Desktop. (It will most likely be called Symantec_Antivirus_for_Georgetown_University.exe.)
3. The Welcome to the Symantec Packager Wizard dialog will appear.

   

4. Click on the Next button.
5. The Symantec License Agreement dialog will appear.

   

6. Enable the I Accept the Terms in the License Agreement field.
7. Click on the Next button.
8. The Ready To Install Symantec Antivirus For Georgetown University dialog will appear.

   

9. Click on the Install button.
10. The installation will begin and the Installing Symantec Antivirus Client dialog will appear.

    

11. The Welcome to Live Update dialog will then appear.

    

12. Click on the Next button.
13. Symantec will connect to the Internet, check your computer for needed updates, and download and install them.
14. A LiveUpdate dialog will appear, listing those components that have been downloaded and installed.

    

15. Click on the Finish button.
16. The Updating Virus Protection Files dialog will appear.

    

17. Then, an Installation Completed dialog will appear.

    

18. Click on the Finish button.
19. You will then be prompted to reboot your computer.

    

20. Click on the Reboot Now button.
21. After the reboot, you will be ready to use the Symantec (Norton) Antivirus software.
