1. Close all open windows.
2. Double-click on the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware icon located on your desktop.
3. A Malwarebytes Anti-Malware window will open.

   

4. Go to the Update tab.
5. Click on the Check for Updates button.
6. When the updates are complete, a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware dialog will appear, stating that you have the latest version.
7. Go to the Scanner tab.
8. Enable the Perform Quick Scan field and click on the Scan button.
9. A Scan in progress window will open.
10. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware will begin its search for malware on your computer. This process can last anywhere from 3 to 12 minutes.
11. When the process is complete, a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Scan Complete dialog will appear.
12. If no malicious items are found...
    1. Click on the OK button.
    2. A text window will open, listing the scan's details. Close that window.
    3. You will return to the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware window.
    4. Click on the Exit button.
13. If malicious items are found...
    1. Select the objects that appear by clicking once on the check-box that appears to their left (a checkmark will appear).
    2. Click on the Next button.
    3. A dialog will appear, stating that all of the objects you selected will be removed.
    4. Click on the OK button.
    5. The malware will be deleted and you will return to theMalwarebytes Anti-Malware window.
    6. Click on the Exit button.
