CREATING AN APPOINTMENT
- Open the Calendar folder by clicking on the Calendar
icon, located at the bottom of the Navigation Pane.

- Double-click on the desired day or time slot for the appointment, click
the New Appointment button
in the toolbar, or press the Ctrl+N keys on the keyboard.
- A blank Appointment form will open.

- Complete the Appointment form.
- Click the Save and Close button in the toolbar when finished.
- The new appointment will appear in your Calendar, located
on the right-hand side of the screen.
- Note that any date that contains an appointment appears in bold in the
Navigation Pane, located on the left-hand side of the screen.

EDITING AN APPOINTMENT
- Open an existing appointment by double-clicking on it.
- If the appointment is a reoccurring one, choose to open only the current
appointment or the entire series.
- Make the necessary adjustments.
- Click the Save and Close button in the toolbar when finished.
- The changes will go into effect immediately.
MOVING AN APPOINTMENT
- Drag the appointment from the Calendar, located on the
right-hand side of the screen, to another date in the Navigation Pane,
located on the left-hand side of the screen. (The time will stay the same.)
-OR-
- Open the appointment and adjust the Start and End
Date and Time fields.
CREATING RECURRING APPOINTMENTS
- Create a new appointment or open an exisitng one.
- Click the Recurrence button in the toolbar.
- The Appointment Recurrence dialog will appear.

- Complete the Appointment Recurrence dialog.
- Click on the OK button.
- You will return to the Appointment form.
- Click the Save and Close button in the toolbar when finished.
- The Recurrence will go into effect immediately.
INVITING ATTENDEES
- Create a new appointment or open an exisitng one by double-clicking on
it.
- Click the Invite Attendees button in the toolbar.
- The Appointment Recurrence dialog will appear.
- A To field will appear in the appointment window.

- Click on the To… button to select the invitee's name.
- Click the Send button.
- The invitation will be sent to the invitee via email.
RESPONDING TO AN INVITATION
When a new meeting request lands in your Inbox, it is automatically added to your Calendar as tentative. However, you still need to reply to the meeting organizer.
- Open your Inbox.
- Open the meeting request.
- Click on the words Accept, Tentative,
or Decline from within the meeting request's toolbar.

- An Outlook dialog will appear, asking if you would like
to include comments with your response.

- If you want to include comments with your response, enable the Edit
the response before sending field.
- Click on the OK button.
- An email will open, addressed to the organizer.
- Type your comments and click on the Send button.
- You can also click on the Propose New Time option from
within the meeting request's toolbar.
- A Propose New Time dialog will appear.

- Select a time when all invitees are available. (You can click on the AutoPick
Next button to find the next available free time for all invitees.)
- Click on the Propose Time button.
- An email will open, addressed to the organizer.
- Type any comments and click on the Send button.
Note: To change your response, open the item in your Calendar,
and select the Accept, Tentative, Decline,
or Propose New Time option.
For a request that you declined, check your Deleted Items folder,
or ask the organizer to send you a new request.
DELETING AN APPOINTMENT
- Click once on an appointment to select it.
- Click the Delete button located in the toolbar.

- The appointment will be deleted immediately.
