The Office of Career Services is available to assist students with the faxing of career-related materials and OPICS is available to assist students with the faxing of public-interest materials. Students and members of student groups also may use the fax machine in the Office of Student Affairs for courtesy faxing of short documents. The Office of Residence Life is available to assist Gewirz residents with faxing. In the Law Center vicinity, Minuteman Press, at 555 New Jersey Avenue, NW, offers fax services for a fee. Documents can be converted into electronic format and sent either by email or a publicly-available Internet fax service, such as http://www.efax.com. The Law Library has two self-service scanners. You will need your NetID and Law Center password to use them. You can scan pages from a book on the flat-bed scanner or use the page feeder feature on the top of the machine for other documents. The scanner will automatically send a pdf copy of your scan to your email address. The library scanners are located in the Williams Library, next to the reading room reserve area, and in the Wolff Library, next to the circulation desk. Questions and requests for assistance regarding these two scanners should go to the Circulation Desk on the main floor of either library. A third scanner is available at the Technology Reference Desk (Williams 304). Revised August 10, 2010 (DHFM) |
