To support and encourage those students who may desire or require additional training in a companion discipline outside the law, Georgetown University Law Center sponsors several joint and dual degree programs. Students in these programs may concurrently pursue studies leading to the awarding of the Juris Doctor degree from the Law Center and a graduate or doctoral degree in a second concentration. Currently, the Law Center offers joint degree programs in conjunction with the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute (MPP), School of Foreign Service (MSFS, MAAS, MAREES, MAGES, MALAS, and MASSP), the School of Business (MBA), the Department of Philosophy (MA or PhD), and the Department of Government (PhD with MA en passant). A dual degree program is also offered in conjunction with the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health in Baltimore (MPH). Commencing with the 2007-08 academic year, the Law Center will offer a J.D./LL.M joint degree program in Taxation.
