Article and Note Submission Information

The Georgetown Immigration Law Journal welcomes submissions by students, scholars and practitioners in various disciplines. Articles and notes should be submitted via our electronic submission system, found at http://www.law.georgetown.edu/amsauthor/. Once on this page, select “Submit article to: Georgetown Immigration Law Journal,” follow the instructions to create an account, and then submit your electronic documents. Submissions should adhere to the following technical criteria: Microsoft Word format; double-spaced text (twelve-point Times New Roman font); single-spaced footnotes (ten-point Times New Roman font); one-inch margins all around; and Bluebook (Eighteenth Edition) citation format. Please also include a cover letter and a current resume or CV with your submission. The Journal reviews all submissions on a rolling basis throughout the year. Every effort is made to reach a decision within several weeks of the initial submission. However, on occasion, especially during the summer months and exam periods, the article selection process could take a bit longer. Though the Journal prefers to receive submissions via our electronic submission system, if for any reason you are unable to use this system we will accept manuscripts via ExpressO, email and postal mail. However, please note that manuscripts not submitted via the electronic submission system may face delayed review. Submissions should be made to:
