We invite you to submit an article to be considered for publication in the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law & Policy. The GJPLP is the nation's premier law journal on domestic poverty and it publishes articles from distinguished law professors and practitioners in poverty-related disciplines For the 2006-2007 academic year, GJPLP plans to publish three topical issues: one on the impact of natural disasters on impoverished communities, one on education barriers to at-risk populations of children and one on the poverty-related causes and effects of human trafficking and immigration-related abuses. The first issue on natural disasters will be published for a special event in Washington, D.C. that seeks to bring together policy makers and scholars in an effort to address the disproportionate and continuing impact of disasters upon the least fortunate populations. GJPLP will consider law review articles as well as case studies, case comments, and narrative submissions for publication. GJPLP welcomes all methodologies and seeks innovative approaches to poverty law and policy. If published in GJPLP, your work will be distributed to attorneys, politicians, policy makers, academics, students, public interest groups and service providers nationwide. With your involvement, GJPLP can continue to play a key role in forging the national debate on poverty issues by raising awareness, offering analysis, and crafting solutions.
