Fall 2014 Newsletter

From the Director

Law Library Director Michelle Wu Michelle M. Wu

The library invites you to attend our Linkrot Symposium in a few weeks. The event brings together the major players in the field to discuss challenges, current solutions, and gaps to address in the coming years.

If you plan to be on campus during Alumni Weekend, we also encourage you to reacquaint yourself with the library’s two locations and the many resources available to you. Several resources --- LexisNexis Academic, Fastcase, and our research guides --- are featured in this newsletter to whet your interest.

Halloween is just around the corner, so what a perfect opportunity for Special Collections to feature the case materials of a 19th century defense attorney as he represents a suspected murderer named Carrington Simpson. Read about all the grisly details and contact us if you would like to see the case materials up close and in person.

As always, I would like to close with a heartfelt thank you to all of you for your continued support. The library’s services, collections, and facilities would not be what they are without you. We hope that you will remain involved in the library’s activities over the next year.
