Georgetown Law Students Compete in Iron Tech Lawyer

WHAT: 

Georgetown Law Iron Tech Lawyer — Administrative Agency Edition. In just one semester, students in Georgetown Law's Technology Innovation and Law Practice practicum built apps designed to increase the public's access to federal agencies. Five teams will show off their apps in the hopes of earning the title of Iron Tech Lawyer. This semester's apps include:

Affordable Care Act Adviser — an app to guide users through the qualitative and quantitative benefits of the ACA, and help them secure health care coverage that fits their needs and budget.

EPA Adviser — advises small construction or agriculture businesses about whether they need to obtain permits under the Clean Water Act.

Your Rights Under Delinquency & Foreclosure — helps borrowers determine how new consumer protection regulations apply to them, based on the type of mortgage they have, and the state where they reside. 

Veterans and Military Benefits Adviser — assists active duty soldiers in making the tough decision about whether to dispute a court martial or accept a less-than-honorable discharge.

Military Agency Character Determination and Discharge Adviser — improves the quality of agency determinations with regard to service members' character of discharge, and makes these determinations consistent across regional offices.
