Manning, a former Army specialist stationed in Baghdad, was arrested in 2010 for releasing hundreds of thousands of classified documents to the website Wikileaks and ultimately sentenced to 35 years in prison. (Bradley Manning is transgender and seeking to legally change her name to Chelsea Manning.) In addition to discussing Manning's case, panelists will more generally discuss the government's response to, and prosecution of whistleblowers, as well as the implications of whistle-blowing in the digital age.
