For Immediate Release Kara Tershel, (202) 662-9500 WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Georgetown Law Library has received a Law Library Publication Award from the American Association of Law Libraries for developing several Web-based legal research tutorials designed to teach first-year law students the basics of legal research. Covering case law, statutory, regulatory, and international law research, as well as legislative history, the tutorials were enhanced in 2007 to incorporate additional multimedia elements such as interactive demonstrations of online research, scored review questions and sound. An article about the project is featured in the September 2007 issue of the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library Friends Newsletter. The Georgetown Law Library, comprised of the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library and the John Wolff International and Comparative Law Library, is the nation’s fourth largest academic law library, with over a million volumes.
