For Immediate Release
July 25, 2006 Contact: Kara Tershel, (202) 662-9500 WASHINGTON, D.C. – Members of the Georgetown University Law Center faculty have established a blog, or web log, to post items about recent legal developments as well as updates on their scholarly work. “The Georgetown Law Faculty Blog is designed to showcase the expertise of the faculty, particularly in the areas of international law and public health law, but also on other legal topics of interest. It is a way to communicate with the public, the press and current and former students about our legal research and activities,” said Georgetown Law Professor Rebecca Tushnet, who started the blog earlier this summer. Discussions on the blog have already involved such topics as the recent Supreme Court rulings in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld and two Clean Water Act wetlands cases, Rapanos and Carabell, the proposed constitutional amendment that would prohibit flag burning, and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The Georgetown Law Faculty Blog URL is: http://gulcfac.typepad.com/georgetown_university_law/.
