The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy has recently published a major report Reinventing Conservation Easements: A Critical Examination and Ideas for Reform which was researched and written by Jeff Pidot. It examines problems and potential reforms associated with the unsupervised growth of conservation easements and the land trusts that hold them.
