NOTE

In June 2012, the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development will meet in Rio de Janeiro to take stock of the progress achieved since the 1992 Earth Summit and to chart a new path for the future.

In advance of this historic summit, Sutley will discuss the Obama administration's plans for supporting healthy and sustainable communities and clean energy job growth. The panel will examine the roles of states and provinces in promoting sustainable development and clean energy policy and explore what is happening in states, provinces and regions across the U.S., Canada, Germany and Brazil.

This event is sponsored by the Georgetown Climate Center and the Province of Quebec's Washington Bureau.
