A 2013 Sundance award-winning documentary by Georgetown Law alumna Dawn Porter (L’93), “Gideon’s Army” follows the personal stories of three young public defenders in the Deep South challenging the assumptions that drive a strained criminal justice system to the breaking point.

This screening is part of the Georgetown Law Library’s Equal Justice Film Festival, which is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the landmark decision in Gideon v. Wainwright
