Peer Advisor Program |
The Peer Advisor Program provides each JD student with an upperclass mentor throughout the first year at the Law Center. The primary goals of the program are to support first years as they make the sometimes difficult transition to law school; to help them navigate and make the most of the many opportunities available at the Law Center; and to foster community and camaraderie within the first year sections and throughout the Law Center. First Year Students: Please feel free to email any Peer Advisor during your first year of law school with any questions or concerns you may have. Your assigned Peer Adivsor is your primary contact Peer Advisor, but you are still welcome to contact any other Peer Advisor throughout your first year. |

First year students have said... “Without my peer advisor and the Peer Advisor program, I would have felt quite lost during my first semester. Instead, thanks to my peer advisor, I knew that there was always someone to turn to for advice.” “Being an evening student presents a unique challenge with respect to becoming a part of the Law Center community and I found that the Peer Advisors did a great deal to enable 1Es to do so. Peer Advisor’s I’ve interacted with have been instrumental in helping me and my classmates get to know each other, get to know the Law Center, and to take advantage of the opportunities offered to us as students at Georgetown Law.” |
