ESADE, located in Barcelona, Spain, is part of Ramon Llull University. ESADE has both a prestigious business school and its outstanding law school. ESADE School of Law has developed an extensive international and comparative law curriculum to meet the growing demand of globalization in education. Georgetown is excited to announce that up to 3 Georgetown students will be selected to attend a semester at ESADE in the fall of 2008. Georgetown students attending ESADE will benefit not only from the high caliber of the curriculum and faculty, but also from living in one of the most exciting cities in Europe. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and one ripe in history and culture. As the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona is the home of the Parliament of Catalonia and the Supreme Court of Catalonia. Barcelona offers incomparable art, as well as cultural and social activities. Georgetown students will be participating in the Combined Undergraduate and Master in Law Program while at ESADE. They will be attending classes with other ESADE students pursuing their 4th and 5th year of the Law Degree as well as students seeking a Master’s or Postgraduate diploma. Students participating in this program are required to have a high level of Spanish proficiency. The Office of International and Transnational Programs reserves the right to ask students to submit to language testing before issuing final approval for their participation. 2008 Academic Calendar

Below is an illustrative list of Post Graduate Courses in Law Offered from October to February. Students can arrange directly with the professor to take an early exam before the Christmas holiday. Course credits depend on the amount of time classes meet. This information will be available closer to the beginning of the semester. In the past, these courses have carried between 1 and 2 Georgetown credits a piece. Solución Controversias y Arbitraje Derecho Penal Económico Derecho de la Competencia (Spain & Europe) Derecho Laboral Empresarial Proteccion de Datos Personales/Data Protection Law Housing The International Exchange office at ESADE will provide contact information for housing agencies and student residences in Barcelona. Students are expected to arrange their own housing for the semester with this information.
