T-Shirt Request form may be submitted at any time prior to the end of the program.
*****VISA INFORMATION UPDATED 5/27/08 ***** As of September 1, 2007, the U.K. Government instituted new visa requirements for foreign students. Participants who are U.S. citizens and will be studying in the U.K. for less then 6 months and will not be taking paid employment or an internship during their stay in the U.K. will be issued a student visitor clearance upon arrival in the U.K. Students must present their enrollment confirmation letter from Georgetown Law (emailed to you on May 27) and be able to provide proof of a round trip ticket to customs officials upon arrival in the U.K. Some advice also suggests that students carry proof of financial support, such as a current bank statement as well as bank statements for the previous 2 months. We also suggest that you print off your bill from Student Access + indicating that your tuition, fees, and housing charges (if applicable) have been paid. Those of you receiving financial aid will most likely have your funds dispersed before the start of the program. Assuming that you have requested that the funds be transferred in to your bank account, your bank balance should reflect your financial aid award. In addition, if you travel during the program, you will want to keep your confirmation letter and your proof of a round trip ticket (and you passport, of course) with you at all times. We will also be emailing each one of you your letter in pdf. format shortly. If the above described situation does not apply to you, you may need need to apply for a prior entry clearance visa. See the Entry/Exit Requirements at http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1052.html for web links and phone numbers to contact for visa-related inquiries. Information can also be found on the UKvisas site. Students in need of prior entry clearance are responsible for applying for their own visas. TRAVEL INFORMATION You are encouraged to register with the State Department before leaving for London. Please see the following website to register: https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs/. You were sent a copy of the Country Specific Information provide by the U.S. State Department for the United Kingdom with your admission materials.
