The O’Neill Institute aims to be one of the world’s most innovative training and research centers in national and global health law.The O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law began operations in 2007. Since then, we have been taking steps to establish the O’Neill Institute as one of the world’s most innovative training and research centers in national and global health law. As the Institute expands, we are committed to our mission to train leaders in health law and policy, produce innovative and significant research, and foster development of informed policies that protect and promote the health of people everywhere.
This success has been made possible by the exceptional generosity of Tim and Linda O’Neill, whose gift has already allowed the Institute to engage in a number of high impact scholarship and policy projects, with many more in development. Furthermore, the gift has enabled our faculty and staff to build the organizational infrastructure necessary to accomplish the Institute’s ambitious mission.
As we continue to assemble a diverse portfolio of high-impact health law projects, we are actively seeking to forge collaborative relationships with partners from across the United States and around the world. Together with our partners, we are convinced that we can advance scholarship, research, and teaching that will encourage key decision-makers in the public, private, and civil society sectors to employ the law as a positive tool for enabling more people in the United States and throughout the world to lead healthier lives.
