The Issue in Brief

Healthcare reform is emerging as an important topic for many Americans. Despite religious values influencing both patients and providers, there is little known about the role of religion in health reform. The O’Neill Institute partnered with the Woodstock Theological Center and Berkley Institute for Religion and World Peace to host an inter-faith forum where scholars from different faiths addressed how their traditions can provide insights on broad issues of health reform, such as coverage and cost-containment.
