Mission
The Food Safety Working Group at Georgetown University brings together a diverse group of researchers from across the campus to investigate food safety issues. The collaboration of experts in a variety of science fields including environmental health, microbiology, food science, public health science and computer science is necessary to deliver a holistic approach to combating food safety issues on a broad scale. The team of experts has experience in the technical, legal, sociological, public health and policy aspects of food safety. The food safety workgroup meets monthly to discuss initiatives, provide input into different projects, and identify new projects that would combine the expertise of those in the group.
