The Equal Justice Works Career Fair is the largest annual gathering of public interest and government employers in the nation. Approximately 150 employers conduct prescheduled interviews and informal information exchange with law students from across the country.

This year, Equal Justice Works is utilizing Symplicity to administer the Career Fair. Students will be register for the Fair (and Conference), research participating employers, upload their résumés and schedule interviews on Symplicity. DO NOT SUBMIT MATERIALS DIRECTLY TO EMPLOYERS. Please note: Students will need to create an Equal Justice Works Symplicity account, which is separate from the Georgetown Law Symplicity account.

STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Go to https://law-ejw-csm.symplicity.com/students/ and click on the Register button at the top of the screen.
  2. Fill out the required information and click Submit.  You will receive an email to verify your email address. Click on the link provided to continue with your registration.
  3. Click on the Events tab to register (and rsvp) for the Conference and Career Fair.
  4. Complete your personal profile by clicking on the Profile tab. Make sure you click Save at the bottom.
  5. Click on the Career Fair tab to view employer job listings and to apply for interviews. Click on each employer that interests you and scroll down to the bottom of their page for information on the specific positions they are currently recruiting for.  Please Note: Be sure to link to the employer webpage for any additional information on their current hiring needs
  6. Next, click on the Employers tab to search or browse employer profiles.
  7. Upload requested documents by clicking on the Documents tab. Click the Add New button to add each individual document.

IMPORTANT DATES & DEADLINES:
September 26, 2009 – Selected candidates will receive email notification. (Please note: EJW will send notification to those students selected for an interview. OPICS does not administer the scheduling.)
September 30 - October 7, 2009 – Selected candidates must schedule interview times on Symplicity.
October 7, 2009 -  NEW registration deadline. ($5 on site registration will be available for students that miss this deadline.)

ARE THERE ANY OTHER OPPORTUNITIES TO MEET WITH EMPLOYERS?
Yes, all students should plan on taking advantage of Table Talk, an informal opportunity for you to introduce yourself to participating employers. Many employers accept resumes from students during the Table Talk session and even conduct impromptu interviews. Table Talk is scheduled from 2:30pm – 4:00pm on Saturday and 1:30pm – 2:45pm on Sunday.
