New system for Tracking Pro Bono Pledge Hours

We are in the process of implementing a new system that will allow students to track their hours online using Symplicity. From this semester forward, there will be no more paper time sheets. All hours—both pro bono and community service—must be entered using Symplicity.  Please continue to use the old paper time sheets to report pro bono hours from previous semesters which can be downloaded from below.

For record-keeping purposes, we are making a clean break starting this semester, so please don’t enter pro bono hours from before this Fall into Symplicity although it’s fine to enter community service hours from previous semesters.

To use the new tracking system, you must register for the Pro Bono Pledge on Symplicity, if you haven’t already done so:

  • Login to Symplicity.  From the lower banner across the top select "Profile". On the Profile page there will be another banner which will include a "Pro Bono" tab. After clicking on Pro Bono you will be asked to sign up for the Pro Bono Pledge. Even if you filled out a paper Pro Bono Pledge Card or filled out the online Pledge form as a 1L, you need to re-register on Symplicity as your old registration information (languages, interest areas) is not transferable. Also, your interests may have changed since you first registered.
  • After completing the form and checking off the box to sign-up for the Pro Bono Pledge BE SURE TO HIT "Submit Application" to finalize your registration. You can return to this page any time to change your interests or other information.
  • You will see another tab next to the Pro Bono Registration labeled “Pro Bono Reporting” which is where you can log your hours on an ongoing basis.

Below are the timesheets for Summer 2008 through Summer 2011.  Please remember that these timesheets must be printed out and signed by a supervisor.  If you have questions, contact Holly Eaton, Director of Pro Bono Programs.
