Georgetown/George Washington Public Sector Recruiting Program January 30, 2010 George Washington University, Marvin Center The Public Sector Recruiting Program is a daylong job fair for Georgetown and George Washington law students to interview for summer 2010 internships and permanent positions with nonprofit organizations, government agencies and public interest law firms. Approximately 150 employers participated in the 2009 Program. The Program consists of prescheduled interviews, table talk (informal information exchange) and a resume collection option for employers that cannot interview at GW. The program is “prescreened,” which means that employers preselect the students they wish to interview. Every participating employer agrees to interview a similar number of GU & GW students. We use Symplicity, a web-based scheduler, to administer the Program. This means that you will register, research employers, upload your cover letters and resumes, “bid for” (request) interviews and schedule interviews online. Information on participating employers will be available on the Symplicity site that exclusively houses the Public Sector Recruiting Program. (Please note: it is not the same url as the Symplicity website that houses other GULC recruiting programs) Students are required to upload cover letters (in addition to resumes). Public sector employers prefer cover letters as part of students’ applications.
