Several student groups plan annual spring break trips that involve pro bono or community service activities.

For Spring Break 2009 Georgetown Law Habitat for Humanity planned two trips--one to Panama and one to North Carolina.  16 students and staff traveled to Panama where they built a foundation for a home in an indigenous community.  Georgetown students also raised $1000 to donate to the local Panama Habitat chapter. 11 students traveled to Chatham County, North Carolina to work on a Habitat build.

Georgetown Outreach and the Georgetown Race and Identity Project (GRIP) organized a trip to New Orleans to provide free legal services to nonprofit organizations helping the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. 27 students traveled to New Orleans and provided over 1000 hours of work!
